In 1987, the World Commission on Environment and Development published a report entitled "Our Common Future", which later became known as "The Brundtland Report". This report developed guiding principles for sustainable development as it is generally understood today. The Brundtland Report's Definition of Sustainable Development is:
“Sustainable Development is that which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs"
This is the most common broad sense perspective on “Sustainability” recognizing the inseparable nature of People, Planet and Profit. STA Resources accepts this Brundtland perspective on “Sustainability”, especially as we refine the current People, Planet and Profit paradigm.
Our Commitment to Sustainability, Enshrined in Our Policy.
