Founded in 1970 by the late Suwito Wijaya, PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk (IDX: STAA) is an oil palm company headquartered in Medan, North Sumatra. Over the last 50 years, STAA has constantly expanded the company’s businesses through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
As of March 2026, STAA manages over 50,297 hectares of palm oil plantations—comprising both nucleus and plasma estates—with a workforce of more than 10,000 employees. The group operates an integrated business process that includes 15 palm oil estates, ten palm oil mills, one kernel crushing facility, and one palm kernel extraction plant supported by a biogas power plant. These facilities are strategically distributed across four provinces: North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan. Additionally, STAA operates a refinery and fractionation facility in Riau Province.
