Founded in 1970 by the late Suwito Wijaya, PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk (IDX: STAA) is an oil palm company headquartered in Medan, North Sumatra. Over the last 50 years, STAA has constantly expanded the company’s businesses through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
As of December 2024 STAA has cultivated over 49,728 hectares of oil palm plantations – nucleus and plasma plantations – with more than 10,000 employees. The group manages an integrated business process overseeing 15 palm oil estates with ten palm oil mills, one kernel crushing facility, and one palm kernel expeller extraction plant powered by a biogas power plant, all of which are situated strategically in 4 provinces in Indonesia: North Sumatera, South Sumatera, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan.
