Founded in 1970 by the late Suwito Wijaya, PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk (IDX: STAA) is an oil palm company headquartered in Medan, North Sumatra. Over the past five decades, STA Resources has continued to expand its business through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
As of June 2026, STA Resources manages 44,608 hectares of oil palm plantations and 9,425 hectares of partnership areas, comprising 5,563 hectares under the plasma smallholder scheme and 3,862 hectares of independent smallholders. These entire operations span across four provinces: North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan.
Supported by an integrated operational chain, STA Resources operates 16 palm oil estates, ten palm oil mills, one kernel crushing facility, and one palm kernel extraction plant integrated with a biogas power plant. In addition, STA Resources operates a refinery and fractionation facility in Riau Province as part of its downstream palm oil value chain development.
