STAA is committed to upholding sustainability principles in the procurement of raw materials used or distributed by the Company. This commitment extends to all of our suppliers, particularly within the palm oil supply chain, which involves multiple external parties. STAA firmly encourages every individual and entity within its supply chain to adopt and comply with sustainable practices, including occupational health and safety, waste management, and environmental conservation.
Strict Supplier Selection
As a firm measure, the Company conducts a rigorous selection process for all suppliers prior to contract execution, followed by regular evaluations. All suppliers are required to meet the standards set out in our Sustainability Policy and must sign a Supplier Code of Conduct, affirming their commitment to comply with the Company’s sustainability principles and requirements.
Partnerships with Smallholders
STAA also implements plasma smallholder schemes and partnerships with independent smallholders and smallholder groups. These initiatives not only ensure the sustainability of the supply chain but also contribute to improving smallholders’ livelihoods through enhanced plantation productivity. In addition, the Company provides palm oil cultivation training programs to support capacity building and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among partner smallholders.
