Sustainability Policy

Sustainability refers to the ability to maintain or support a process continuously over time. In a business and policy context, sustainability seeks to prevent the depletion of natural or physical resources, so that these resources remain available for the long term.

In its implementation, this sustainability policy functions as a supporter of the vision and mission of PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk. (STAA) to run business responsibly through the integration of economic, environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in all business lines carried out. Accordingly, STAA will implement all possible measures to:

1. Ensure all environmental and safety risks are assessed, managed and controlled.
2. Encourage and implement best practices in the plantation sector.
3. Build strong and long-lasting working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, and involve them actively in all environmental activities and issues.

On 1 April 2025, STAA updated its policy to clarify our commitment to minimizing the impact of company activities on society, the environment and our stakeholders, which also includes No Deforestation, Peat & Exploitation (NDPE) and The European Union's Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
