Sustainability refers to the ability to maintain or support a process continuously over time. In the context of business and policy, sustainability aims to prevent the depletion of natural or physical resources, ensuring that these resources remain available in the long term.
In its implementation, this Sustainability Policy supports the vision and mission of PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources Tbk. (STAA) to conduct business responsibly through the integration of economic, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations across all business operations. Accordingly, STAA is committed to implementing all necessary measures to:
- Ensure that all environmental and occupational health and safety risks are systematically identified, assessed, managed, and controlled.
- Encourage and implement best practices within the plantation sector.
- Build strong, long-term working relationships with all relevant stakeholders and actively involve them in environmental initiatives and related issues.
On 1 April 2025, STAA updated this policy to reaffirm and strengthen its commitment to minimizing the impacts of the Company’s activities on society, the environment, and its stakeholders. This commitment includes adherence to the No Deforestation, No Peat, and No Exploitation (NDPE) Policy, as well as compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
