Following government’s instruction, 700 employees of PT. MAL vaccinated with first dose of Sinovac

PT. Madina Agro Lestari (MAL) as one of the oil palm plantation and mill companies in the region of Pantai Barat, sub-distric Muara Batang GAdis (MBG), District of Mandailing Natal, supported the government’s effort to put an end to the transmission of COVID-19. In total, 700 employees of the company operating palm estate and mills received their first shot of the Sinovac vaccine. This is in order to reach a level of herd immunity especially among employees working in estates.

Virtually, the Governor of North Sumatera Edy Rahmayadi birtually opened the event, which was a cooperation between the government of North Sumatera with GAPKI Sumut and the company .Wednesday (4/8) yesterday. Present was the Head of Sub-district Muara Batang GAdis (MBG) Edy Ihsan, SH, Head of MBG Police Station, Iptu. Saszorro Effendy, Danramil 17 Natal , Head of Sikapas village, and Estate Manager , staff and employees of the company.

Saipul Hasibuan, the Estate Manager of PT MAL , accompanied by Public Relation Officer Ahmad Sadri Harahap remarked that this vaccination event was the program of the Governor of North Sumatera working together with GAPKI and the company. “We strongly support the government program in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. One of our efforts in taking care of the employees’ health, whose workplace is in the Company but they also belong to the local communities,”he explained.

“On today’s event the first dose vaccination was administered to 700 employees in the Mill and Estate premises of Sikapas village and Batumundom village, Sub-district Muara Batang Gadis, the medical workers are assigned by the Public Health Office of the District of Mandailing Natal, assisted by vaccinators from the UPTD Puskesmas Singkuang, UPTD Puskesman Sibanggor, UPTD Puskesmas Maga and UPT Puskesmas Kayu laut,” he revealed.

Saipul also expressed his gratitude to all parties that had supported the vaccination program so it went well to reach the objectives of stopping the spreading of COVID-19 in in the Estate area and in the villagers of Siapas Batumundom who are mostly the employees of the company. In addition, we hope that we all will be free from this COVID virus so we can work in relief to achieve the company’s target.

“On behalf of all employees we would like to thank the management who has been understanding and caring for all employees by providing us with the vaccines, and we hope that the Company will be more successful and developed,” Saipul concluded.

Meanwhile the Chief of the Police Station of Sub District Muara Batang GAdis, Iptu Saszorro Effendy while approached by the media during the vaccination event commented that the vaccination is an excellent program. He further added that the Management of PT. MAL has high empathy for their employees, ensuring every single employee was vaccinated.

“We definitely hope that other companies in the district of Muara Batang Gadis will also organize such vaccination programs for all their employees,” concluded the Chief.

258 Plantation Employees of STA Batang Pane III Vaccinated
Companies operating in plantation sector in North Sumatera associated in GAPKI, working together with the District and Province level of North Sumatera’s Public Health Office performed a mass vaccination program simultaneously conducted in all regions of North Sumatera. The event was opened virtually by the Governor of North Sumatera, Edy Rahmayadi.

A number of oil palm plantation companies in North Sumatera associated in Indonesian Palm Oil Association of the North Sumatera Region (GAPKI SUMUT), working together with the Public Health Office of North Sumatera,simultaneously held COVID-19 vaccination program on 4th – 5th August 2021. One of the companies participating in the event was PT Sumber Tani Agung Resources’ Oil Palm Plantation and Mill Bahal (PT STAR Bahal) in the village of Bahal, Sub-district of Portibi, District of North Padang Lawas. The event was virtually opened by the Governor of North Sumarea, Edy Rahmayadi.

In an effort to put an end to the COVID-19 transmission, PT. Karya Agung Sawita, Sosa, Padang Lawas, organized a first dose vaccination event for 900 employees of the company.
