STAA Plants 150 Mango Trees at Employee Housing Complex
As a tangible expression of its commitment to fostering a productive, healthy, and sustainable work environment, STAA through PT Transpacific Agro Industry (PT TPAI) has carried out the inaugural planting of 150 mango trees at the staff and employee housing complex in Desa Upang Jaya, Muara Telang District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. This initiative goes beyond a tree-planting activity, serving as a strategic effort to expand green spaces and provide long-term benefits for employees and the surrounding environment.
The ceremonial planting was held in an uplifting spirit and attended by senior management, including the Chief Operating Officer Plantation, Senior Manager of the Estate Department, Regional Controller South Sumatra, Estate Manager, and the Head of Administration of PT TPAI. Their presence symbolized the company’s full support for consistently implemented environmental conservation initiatives.
More than just adding shade and beauty, the mango trees are expected to improve air quality and encourage stronger environmental awareness among employees. The creation of green areas within the residential complex will provide a more comfortable, healthy, and pleasant living environment, supporting the holistic well-being of employees.
This initiative is also designed to deliver multiple benefits. Beyond its ecological value, in the future the mango trees will yield fruit to be shared collectively. In this way, the program reinforces STAA’s philosophy of maintaining a harmonious balance between corporate productivity, employee welfare, and environmental sustainability.
